Why should social media beginners care about integration?

For some busy professionals, social media may seem like a “nice to have,” not a “need to have.” And if you don’t have time to learn about the basic tools of social media (like Twitter and Facebook), how can you begin to understand how and why to integrate them into the rest of your marketing?
